For tea kettles and percolators simply boil the solution for 15 minutes to clean up the scale and rise well. In drip type coffee pots run the vinegar solution through several cycles to clean up the scale. If you have a vinegar smell after you complete cleaning up the lime scale use a teaspoon of baking soda in the water and repeat the boiling or coffee cycle.
