Cleaning Coffeemaker

Granny in Arizona writes:
Instead of buying a coffeemaker cleaner, put filter in holder as normal leaving empty, put 3/4 (1/2 if maker is really dirty) pot of water thru machine then stop it, add 1/4 (1/2 if really bad) pot of vinegar and restart maker.   When it's done, dump down kitchen drain (keeps it smelling better as well).  Make 2 to 3 pots of just water through the machine, changing the filter for each pot to ensure it's really cleaned out.  Keeps my coffee tasting better and can extend the life of your coffeemaker.

I tried for 3 years to clean hard water stains on my house windows(even hired professional window washers!) No one could get them cleaned. I accidently came across a product called Lemi Shine (purchased at Walmart). It is actually a product for your dishwasher but it works wonders on glass and shower doors ect. Combine the Lemi Shine with about 1 cup of vinegar and equal parts water. IT IS A MIRACLE! Just spray it and you will see the scum start to just melt away. I tell everyone I know about it. I keep the solution in a spay bottle and clean my showers once a week. A bottle costs about $3 so it is very economical.
